I’ve been thinking about it for a long time now, but it just seems too hard. Too scary. I mean, what if something went wrong? I’ve been using my good old PC-based payroll software forever and it’s comfortable, even if it is a pain when I have to continually save back-up files. And especially when I have to download upgrades all the time – just to make sure the system keeps running properly (or if the IRD go and change something else, as they do). And sure, these back-ups and downloads do take up a lot of time, what with all that clicking and waiting and then having to transfer the back-up to a disk or flash drive or wherever to manually make it safe. Not to mention the time it wastes having to always restart the computer when I download an upgrade.   But that’s how it has to be . . . doesn’t it? . . .

Because all of my businesses payroll history is in there. All those years of PAYE calculations and everyone’s leave accruals and entitlements. I really don’t have a choice. I have to struggle on and trust that I’ll remember to keep the software up-to-date. And pray that my computer doesn’t go on the fritz again, like it did a few months back. Or, heaven-forbid, it should actually give up and die like my old PC at home did. Oh, if only . . .

If only I could somehow get all of that historic payroll information out of my old PC-based payroll software and get it into one of those flash new cloud-based online payroll systems I’ve been hearing about. Wow. Wouldn’t that be something? Wouldn’t it be great to be able to just log in to my payroll system from ANY computer, even from my nice new computer at home, or even from one of those groovy new iPad tablet thingy’s I’ve seen people with? If only that was possible, somehow . . .

Wait a minute. You say it is possible? You say that it’s not only possible but that it’s actually pretty damn easy? You say that all I have to do is email the nice people at Crystal Payroll my latest back-up file and they can transfer everything on it into a new online payroll account really quickly? That in less than a week – that’s between my weekly pay runs – you guys can convert my old PC-based payroll data and load it into an online account for me. And it’ll only cost me $9 per employee for the last year’s data.

Wow. That’s amazing. And so cheap.

And I can start using my new online payroll system immediately – and you’ll even help me out by managing my PAYE filing with the IRD if I want you to. Or not, if I prefer to do this myself and save money. That’s fantastic. And I can email out payslips, not print them. Or I can let the staff check out their payroll info online – all by themselves. That’s brilliant.

My goodness, I can’t wait to learn more about what other amazing benefits my new Crystal Payroll online payroll system will provide me with . . .
